Charitable Grant Team

This team is responsible for  the administration of the MABA charitable grant program that connects MABA to the local community through good works.  A list of past recipients and photos are below.  This program is a very small way that MABA can give back to the community and make a local impact.  Through your generosity, we have made great strides to help those out that are in the greatest need locally.  If you have any questions regarding this program, please reach out to the team chair, any of the team members, or any board member.

2018

Impression 5 Science Center - Received a $750 grant for new learning exhibits in the center.

Child & Family Charities - Received a $750 grant to fund one of their kids programs. 

Give-A-Kid Projects - Received a %500 grant to replace a damaged floor at the warehouse where they store items for the kids in the community.

Haven House - Received a $750 grant to create a reading nook for guests of the organization. 

Lansing Art Gallery - Received a $750 grant for the replacement of flooring in the children's area of the gallery.

Hospice of Lansing - Received a $750 grant for staff uniforms.

Many Hands - Received a $750 grant for the backpack program that feeds kids with nutritional needs.

Parkwood Y - Received a $750 grant for kids nutritional 


2015

The Greater Lansing Housing Coalition - Received an $850 grant for housing projects in the area.

Many hands - Received a $750 grant for the backpack program that feeds kids with nutritional needs.


2014 (Inaugural Year)

Harris Nature Center Foundation - Received $1000 grant for the Log Jam project.  A natural play structure at the nature center.

Parkwood Y - Received $500 grant for a program to transport seniors to the Y for exercise and friendship.
