Eldon & Rebecca Case Exhibit Reception
Meet the artists behind our April featured gallery display, Eldon Case & Rebecca Case! Opening reception for the show is Sunday, April 5th, but their beautiful art will be on display in store until Sunday, April 26th.
We will provide light refreshments for you to enjoy while you mingle with art connoisseurs and artists alike!
Rebecca grew up in Evergreen Colorado after her family moved out west from Cleveland Ohio. She practiced as a licensed Nurse, and even managed her own fly-fishing shop. Rebecca relocated to Michigan in 1996.
“I paint because I like to challenge myself. Each artwork provides a spectrum of challenges. I would have it no other way as painting would become boring if not everything I decided to interpret was challenging in some way.”
Currently Rebecca enjoys photography, oil and acrylic painting of wildlife, flowers, and landscapes.
She is a member of the Mid-Michigan Art Guild, Shiawassee Arts Center, and Lansing Area Artist Connection. She is also an Active member of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists (Juried).
Born in 1949 in Logan, Kansas, Eldon currently resides in Michigan. He was a research engineer at the University of California, Berkeley and then was Professor of Materials Science at Michigan State University.
Twelve years ago, an inner call led him to pursue oil painting. He is largely self-taught although he also has taken several workshops/short courses from nationally known artists. Eldon paints both landscapes and abstracts, using oils and acrylics. What keeps him going back to the studio is the exploration of color, light and pattern.
He has exhibited work at a number of Michigan venues including Riverwalk Theater, Clinton County Arts Council Gallery, Studio West Gallery, Shiawassee Arts Center, Williamston Theater and Framer’s Edge Gallery. In addition, his paintings are in a number of private collections.
