Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists, PC Remains Open during this time for their patients.

FROM HOMELAND SECURITY* - PHYSICAL THERAPY HAS "A DUTY" TO REMAIN OPEN

On March 19th, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security released a memorandum on the identification of essential critical infrastructure workers during the COVID-19 response.

Physical therapy has been identified as an essential part of our health care system, and it states that we as a health care facility have "a duty" to remain an available health care service.

"Physical therapists are essential in flattening the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic. They play a key role in keeping people they can help out of doctors' offices and ERs. This will not only free up the medical teams to treat those impacted by COVID-19 but also limit the exposure of those seeking the care of the physical therapist." *

ORS CLINICS ARE OPEN AS ESSENTIAL HEALTH CARE BUSINESS DURING MICHIGAN "STAY HOME- STAY SAFE" DIRECTIVE

As an essential health care business during this crisis, Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists is open and providing physical therapy treatment.

Here is a list of things that we are doing every day to make sure our patients and staff are safe and protected when they come into our clinics:

- We are following all CDC regulations for cleaning and sanitization.
- We are keeping appropriate social distance, utilizing private treatment rooms when appropriate, and practicing strategic scheduling.
- We use pre-treatment surveys to help determine whether it is safe to treat in the clinic.
- We are offering Telehealth visits when it is not safe to perform your treatment in the clinic.

If you are not sure if you should come in for an appointment, please call us at 877-202-2175, and we can help determine what treatment option is best for you.

By being open and available for physical therapy treatments, we are hoping to help keep the strain off of doctors' offices and ERs with non-emergencies.

With Direct Access in Michigan, you are able to see a physical therapist without a referral. We will communicate with your doctor if physical therapy treatment is recommended.

Please call us at 877-202-2175 if we can be of any help during these challenging times.
